  3. The result updates instantly, normalised to days, hours, minutes and seconds.

About this tool

Adding times by hand means carrying 60 minutes into hours and 24 hours into days. This calculator does that automatically, and can also answer “what time will it be in 7 hours 45 minutes?”.

When to use it: adding hours and minutes for work logs, cooking and travel.

Frequently asked questions

Can I enter more than 60 minutes?
Yes. Values are normalised automatically, so 90 minutes is shown as 1 hour 30 minutes.
How are results longer than 24 hours shown?
Normalised into days, hours, minutes and seconds — 26 hours displays as 1 day, 2 hours.
What happens when a time passes midnight?
The “time of day + duration” mode wraps into the next day and shows the resulting clock time, which is exactly what you need for shifts and flights.
What is it most useful for?
Adding work hours across a week, total cooking time, parking duration, or any sum of hours and minutes that is annoying by hand.
Is this the same as a date difference?
No — this works with durations and clock times. For calendar spans in days and months, use the Date Difference Calculator.
Which time format is displayed?
Times follow your device’s usual format, so it feels native wherever you are.
