Frequently asked questions

How is the difference in months and years calculated?
Whole months and years are counted first (accounting for month lengths), then the remaining days are shown separately.
Does the order of the dates matter?
Pick the earlier date as the start; the result expresses the gap between the two dates in days, weeks, months and years.
What does “include end date” do?
It adds the final day to the count — the difference between “nights stayed” (exclusive) and “days touched” (inclusive).
How are whole months counted?
By calendar dates — leftover days that do not complete a month are shown separately in the breakdown.
What is it useful for?
Project durations, visa and travel day counts, pregnancy weeks, notice periods and tenancy lengths — anywhere an exact span matters.
Is the weeks figure just days divided by seven?
Yes — total days grouped into sevens, which is the convention for week-based planning.
