CSV Splitter

Split oversized CSV files into manageable chunks for import limits, shared work or faster loading. Choose a fixed number of rows per file, or pick how many files you want and let the tool divide evenly. Each part can keep the header row, and everything downloads as a single ZIP.

Your CSV is processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use CSV Splitter

  1. Drop a CSV file into the box or click to browse.
  2. Choose “Rows per file” or “Number of files” and set the value.
  3. Keep “Keep header row” ticked so each part stays usable.
  4. Press “Split & download ZIP”.

About this tool

Tools like Excel, Google Sheets and many import systems cap the number of rows they accept, so a big export often has to be broken into pieces before it can be used.

This splitter parses your CSV properly — handling quoted fields and commas inside values — then writes each chunk back out as valid CSV, preserving your header in every file.

Frequently asked questions

Will quoted fields and commas inside values survive?
Yes. The file is parsed with a real CSV parser, so quoted text, embedded commas and new lines inside fields stay intact in every output file.
Should each part keep the header?
Usually yes — with the header in every file, each part is immediately usable in spreadsheets and import tools. Untick the option only if you plan to merge them back later.
What is the difference between the two modes?
“Rows per file” gives you files of a fixed size (for example 1000 rows each). “Number of files” divides the data evenly into as many files as you ask for.
What do I get at the end?
A ZIP archive containing all the part files, named like yourfile-part-1.csv, yourfile-part-2.csv and so on.
Is there a size limit?
Very large files (hundreds of MB) depend on your device memory. For typical spreadsheets and exports up to tens of MB, it works smoothly.
